AZİZ OZOUSS

ribab & vocals (Morroco)

Aziz Ozouss, born in 1991 in Biougra, Chtouka Ait Baha, Morocco, is a distinguished Moroccan artist. Growing up immersed in the pure, authentic music of the Amazigh people—such as Ajmak, Rwaiss, Ahiyad, Houara, Isimgane, and other regional styles of Mass Deraa—he developed a profound appreciation for his musical heritage.

In 2005, Aziz began learning various Moroccan classical music instruments, including the violin and guitar. Deeply influenced by Rwaiss and Isimgane art, particularly the principal instrument Ribab, he started mastering it in 2008. Following his instinct, he also learned the rules and controls of other traditional instruments like the “Lotar” and “Talutara Isemgan.”

By 2012, Aziz had enrolled in the music conservatory as a violinist. His dedication and practice led him to join local music bands and participate in various shows and festivals.

CAREER MILESTONES

In 2016, recorded his first album, “AMZWARO” featuring five songs. This album showcases his extensive experience as an artist, merging Amazigh themes with local traditional instruments and world music.
