Niusha is a kamancheh player and the leader of the Nushe Band, which was established in 2013.

She received the Special Statue at the 3rd Hafez Music & Theater Awards 2025 as the most successful and active female musician in Iran.

She was born in 1984 and started learning academic music at the age of 10, eventually graduating from music university.

From 2008 to 2021, she taught at the Music School of National TV & Radio of Iran.

Niusha owns two albums: Niush, a Persian fusion music album nominated in three categories at the Musicema Music Awards in 2015, and Nushe, the second album released by Niusha Barimani and her band.

She has performed in various countries such as Canada, Japan, Austria, U.K., Germany, France, Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, Qatar, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Mexico, Morocco, Poland, and others.

Niusha has also performed internationally with the acclaimed Arifa Ensemble (Netherlands) on the album Voice from the East, released by Buda Music records, appearing at renowned venues such as the Bimhuis, Barbican’s Transcender Festival, Goethe Institute in Paris.

Niusha has also participated in different music festivals worldwide, including the Silk Road Min-On Festival in Japan in 2000, Cervantino International Music Festival in Mexico in 2005, the International Festival of Sufi Music in Morocco in 2007, RASA in the Netherlands in 2009, Gaude Mater 20th International Festival in Poland in 2010, and many more.

Additionally, she was recognized as a prominent musician at the Khalij-e-Fars Music Festival in Iran in 2013.
